When you are out and about with your dog in public places, you must always keep him on a leash. The length of the leash must not exceed 1.5 meters. If you want to travel with your pet within the EU, there are some regulations that you must follow:<\/p>\n

Microchip and vaccination:<\/strong>
Your dog must be identified with a microchip. In addition, your dog must provide proof of complete vaccination protection against rabies. The last vaccination should have taken place at least 21 days before departure. Italy reserves the right to prohibit the entry of young animals up to 12 weeks until further notice.<\/p>\n

Pet passport:<\/strong>
The EU requires a so-called pet passport for traveling with dogs (and other small animals), which you can apply for at the vet. This contains information about your four-legged friend’s appearance, vaccination status, a unique identification number and information about you as the owner.<\/p>\n
