However, those arriving by car quickly face a challenge: there is a Zona a Traffico Limitato (ZTL)<\/strong> around the city center of Florence. On our trip from Lake Garda to Florence<\/a>, we had the advantage that our hotel provided us with a parking space. <\/p>\n Parking within the ZTL zone without a permit can result in severe fines. We show you how to park in Florence in a relaxed manner, which parking options are available and when a Park & Ride is worthwhile. Parking within this zone is only possible with prior notification, otherwise a fine may be imposed. <\/p>\n Parking lots run by the municipal company Firenze Parcheggi<\/strong> are mostly located outside the ZTL, are open around the clock and are significantly cheaper than private garages in the city center. It is not possible to make a reservation there, but you can usually find a space without any problems.
