Lake Garda in the past and today: It has been more than two decades since we first visited the enchanting Lake Garda in Italy. To be exact, it was Pieve in Tremosine and even then we loved renting a scooter from Tombola Rent in Limone and riding it around. A feeling that is difficult to put into words. Lake Garda is not just a vacation destination for us, but a place that feels like a second home.

Sure, there are other destinations

Without a doubt, we have traveled to many countries, from colorful India to snowy Norway. But no place has captivated us like Lake Garda. That’s why we decided to take a special trip back in time: We have juxtaposed pictures from 20 years ago with current views. When we compared our old photos with today’s pictures, we were amazed at the differences, but also at the things that haven’t changed. The smiles on our faces were the same in both photos – proof of the timeless appeal of Lake Garda.

Looking back, we can say…

Lake Garda has changed over time, but its essence has remained the same. For us, this place will always have a special place in our hearts. It’s fascinating to see places evolve and grow, but it’s also reassuring to know that some things are simply timeless.
