Activities on Lake Garda
Lake Garda is a playground for young and old. There are so many ways to be active. We have tried many things and always leave our comfort zone to take on new challenges. Of course, safety is always our top priority. On Lake Garda there are many opportunities for outdoor activities suitable for all ages and interests. These include:
Hiking: The landscape around Lake Garda is ideal for hiking, with many marked routes and breathtaking views.
Cycling and mountain biking: Lake Garda is also a popular destination for cyclists, with many well-maintained bike paths. Especially mountain biking is very popular, there are many signposted tours with great trails.
Water sports: Lake Garda is a popular destination for water sports, especially for sailors, surfers and kite surfers. There are also opportunities for swimming, diving and stand-up paddling. What’s also cool: in some places you can rent a motorboat (you don’t need a license for that) and cruise on the lake :-). For us, water sports also include canyoningwhich is actually a mixture of climbing and water sports.
Climbing and via ferrata: There are many opportunities for climbing and via ferrata near Lake Garda (e.g. in Arco). These are suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers. There are climbing routes and via ferratas of various degrees of difficulty.
Other activities: Lake Garda has an incredible amount to offer. Many of our activities do not fit into any particular category. Just take a look, there is something for everyone 🙂
